ADVANTAGES ABRA-GLIDE

SMOOTH ANTI BUILD-UP SURFACE

The overlay is continuous and homogeneous, without visible weld beads, which significantly reduces material adhesion and improves flow.

ABRASION + IMPACT RESISTANCE

Hardness 58–62 HRC, providing good wear protection while maintaining resistance to mechanical stresses.

THERMAL RESISTANCE

ABRA-GLIDE® plates retain their properties up to 450 °C.

IDEAL SOLUTION AGAINST BUILD-UP

Particularly suited for areas where both wear resistance and improved material flow are required.

ABRA-GLIDE® plates are smooth-surface wear-resistant bimetallic plates, combining a steel substrate with a chromium carbide-rich overlay.

Unlike conventional overlay plates, the deposit shows no visible weld beads or pronounced cracking, resulting in a very smooth surface with low adhesion.

This configuration significantly limits build-up and material sticking.

BMI supplies these plates either as stock sheets or for the manufacturing of wear parts and sliding surfaces.
