YRON® 500 ABRASION-RESISTANT STEEL

BMI offers YRON® 500 steel for the manufacturing of components exposed to severe wear conditions, particularly where abrasion is combined with impact.

ADVANTAGES OF YRON® 500

RESISTANCE TO COMBINED WEAR

Designed to withstand abrasion phenomena combined with mechanical impacts, common in severe industrial environments.

Optimal combination of high hardness and impact absorption capacity.

Yron® 500 retains its mechanical properties up to 250 °C. Its enriched metallurgy helps limit tempering effects (loss of hardness) beyond this threshold, ensuring better performance at elevated temperatures.

Steel suitable for cutting, welding and fabrication of wear-resistant components.

YRON® 500 is a high-performance quenched wear-resistant steel, specifically designed for environments subjected to combined wear: abrasion and impact.

Its metallurgy enriched with manganese, chromium and nickel provides excellent mechanical strength while maintaining good toughness. This combination enables YRON® 500 to outperform conventional wear-resistant steels in demanding industrial applications.

BMI supplies this steel either as stock material or integrated into the manufacturing of custom wear parts.
